Kaspersky: How to enable/disable Self-Defense on local host

In most cases, when establishing a connection using remote control applications, you will not be able to access the graphic user interface (GUI) of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows. The GUI does not react to mouse pointer events.

How to enable/disable Self-Defense on local host

By default, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows Self-Defense mechanism is enabled. But you can always disable it if necessary.

In order to enable/disable the Self-defense mechanism:

  1. Open application settings.
  2. Select Advanced Settings section in left frame.
  3. (Un)check the box Enable Self-Defense
  4. Click Save to keep the changes.
